For Sunday: Life Underwater

Post placeholder image

Bird-watching
On Sunday afternoon, August 26th, the Lighthouse will feature a presentation by JOHN MYLOD, fishing historian and Hudson River advocate. Learn about river ecology, our underwater neighbors, and how you can help keep the Hudson River healthy throughout the year. Starts at 1PM; donations appreciated.

Earlier in the summer, we enjoyed a bird-walk along the Lighthouse Trail led by local bird expert Frank Murphy (shown above) and a talk about the history of the Lighthouse by former keeper Dick Duncan. These talks are hosted as part of the mission of the Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy to conduct programs on various subjects pertaining to the Saugerties Lighthouse and the surrounding environment. Donations support the Lighthouse.
