Special Event: Folk-musican Christopher Bell

Folk-musican Christopher Bell
Tuesday, August 26th. 8 PM. Free.
In the event of foul weather, The Pig on Partition Street will host the event.

Folk-musican Christopher Bell will perform at the Saugerties Lighthouse on Tuesday evening, August 26th. Mr. Bell is touring New York State in his canoe. Paddling down the Erie Canal and Hudson River with his ukulele and harmonicas, he performs in coffee shops and music venues along the way. He started in Buffalo, NY on July 20th and plans to arrive in Manhattan for a show on September 4th, a journey of 550 miles from start to finish. On the leg of his journey from Albany to Poughkeepsie, Mr. Bell will stop at the Saugerties Lighthouse for a night. Show starts at 8 PM, and is free and open to the public. Bring your own food and drink. The lighthouse is at the end of a 1/2-mile walking trail. Please bring a flashlight for traveling the trail after dark. High tide will cover portions of the trail from 10 PM to midnight, so come prepared to wade through ankle deep water afterwards. Note: normally, the lighthouse trail closes at sunset; this is an exception, so please be respectful.
