Mara called to remind me that tonight was trivia night at the Black Swan Pub in Tivoli, NY. She was part of the winning trivia team last week. Not wanting to miss out, I paddled my kayak across the river by the light of the full moon and walked up the hill to the village. Autumn moonlight illuminated my way across the water and up the road, but warm & humid air made the evening feel more like summer. Cooling off with a draft beer, I took my seat at a table with Mara and her co-conspirator Danielle. Since I don’t have a TV, I wasn’t much help with celebrity trivia questions. Nevertheless, by contributing a bit of “guy knowledge” and astronomy factoids, I did my part to help the team to another win.
