Trail conditions: flotsam and ice

Post placeholder image

Friday’s full moon tide met heavy run-off from this week’s rainstorm. The trail was submerged under waist-deep water on Friday afternoon. Winds out of the north drove floating debris and driftwood onshore. The water receded as the tide ebbed, leaving behind flotsam and puddles on portions of the trail. Since then, the puddles turned to ice. Use caution when hiking the trail. Boots with traction recommended.
