Downstream neighbor Dock photographed the wreck yesterday from his kayak. A tugboat babysat the grounded barge overnight. It is our understanding that these barges were northbound from ALLOCCO Recycling in Greenpoint Brooklyn to the P&M terminal at Coeymans. A spokesperson for the company has assured us that the contents of the barge are clean and meet NYS DEC standards.
