Tours of the Lighthouse Interior

Docent-guided tours of the Lighthouse are offered on Sunday afternoons in the summertime, June through August, from 12 pm– 3 pm. No reservation needed.

A suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children supports the preservation efforts of the Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy.

PLEASE NOTE: A history talk on the deck will be offered when the interior is not available for tours due to preemptive scheduling.

Outside of this schedule, small group tours (6 to 12 people) are available by advance appointment. Otherwise, the interior of the Lighthouse is reserved for overnight guests. To arrange a tour for your group, please call at least a week in advance: 845-247-0656.

Tours are approximately 20 to 30 minutes, which includes an overview of the history of the Lighthouse, perusal of the museum, and a view from the tower. The small museum inside displays images and artifacts of the original Lighthouse and the commercial heyday of the Saugerties waterfront.

REMEMBER: Consult the Tide Table when planning your walk to the Lighthouse.
