Museum

Originally a bedroom, the Museum room now showcases the history of the Lighthouse and the steamboat era of the Hudson River. Displays feature models and images of steam liners that frequented Saugerties and photographs from the horse-and-buggy days of the Village.

Features

Assorted maritime artifacts are also on display, including an oil lamp common to the time of the station’s start and the original sixth-order fresnel lens, which served both the 1835 lighthouse and the extant 1869 tower. Access

The Museum is open throughout seasonal Interior Tours of the Lighthouse and is accessible by all overnight guests of the Bed & Breakfast, throughout the duration of the stay.
